Martin Levesque

Marty

Martin is a core rider from the Moncton NB area, currently studying at Memorial University in St John's NL. Soon to be one of our IKO Instructors, here's what Marty had to say:

"My name is Martin Levesque, I was born on the 24th of October 1992, in Moncton New-Brunswick. I would spend all my summers in a small village on the shores of the Northumberland Strait, given there wasn’t a lot of thing to keep me occupied, I didn’t enjoy myself very much. Therefore my mother told herself she would find me something to do. Three summers ago she came home with a phone number, it was the number of a local rider that was offering lessons. She asked me are you up for it? I didn’t waist anytime, and jumped on it. At that time I didn't even have a clue there was a kiting scene in south-east New-Brunswick, due to how small it was, but it’s incredible how the kiting community has grown in only a few years.  Now I kite-surf every single day possible, and I would ditch any first date, if the winds are blowing. This summer I`m looking to get my IKO( International Kite Board Organization) certification to be able to teach full time. I’m going in my third season now, and I have many goals, handle pass’s are at the top of my list. I’m very interested in the wake style movement, I believe that it allows a much more creative and stylish trick base. My other passions are anything with your 2 feet stuck together, I also longboard and snowboard any chance I get."
